Kenji Misumi

Kenji Misumi (三隅 研次 Misumi Kenji) (2 March 1921, Kyoto, Japan - 24 September 1975) was a notable Japanese film director. He created films such as Lone Wolf and Cub and the initial film in the long-running Zatoichi (座頭市, Zatōichi) series.
He died at age 53.
