Priyanga Burford
Priyanga Burford – British actress, writer, and narrator of Sri Lankan (Sinhalese) heritage, born March 1973 in England. Studied English literature at Keble College, Oxford before training at LAMDA, graduating in 2000. Married to Tom Burford since 1999 with two sons, Danny and Oscar. Her most notable television roles include Amina Chaudury in Press (2018, BBC), Sara Dhadwal in Industry (2020–2027, BBC/HBO), Karen in Innocent (2017–2021, ITV), Deepa Kaur in UKIP: The First 100 Days (2015, Channel 4), Mrs. Stevens in King Charles III (2017), Sita Anwar in Steeltown Murders (2023, BBC), and guest appearances in The Thick of It, W1A, Silent Witness, Avenue 5, and This Time with Alan Partridge.
Her film credits include Dr. Symes in No Time to Die (2021), Dr. Emma Hurd in The Other Man (2008), a Reporter in A Long Way Down (2014), and uncredited roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) and Detective Pikachu (2019). On stage she is best known for the premiere of Consent at the National Theatre (2017), Dr. Lorna James in The Effect at the Sheffield Crucible (2015), Eyam at Shakespeare's Globe (2018), and An Enemy of the People at the Duke of York's Theatre (2024), for which she received an Olivier Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She is also set to voice M in the video game
