Nicolas Klotz is a French film director born in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
Klotz has directed several documentaries profiling musicians, such as sitar player Pandit Ravi Shankar, pianist Brad Mehldau, and saxophonist James Carter. After directing two feature-length fiction films for the big screen (La nuit bengali and La nuit sacrée, based on the novel by Tahar Ben Jelloun), he made the film Paria, which depicted the lives of the homeless.
