Ayten Amer
An Egyptian actress. Born in Alexandria, she moved to Cairo at the age of four. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, specializing in acting and directing. Her familial connection to her sister, the actress Wafaa Amer, played no role in her entry into the world of acting. Her first step was a chance encounter with the actor Mohamed Sobhi, whom she met while he was filming a series in which her sister was also starring. She worked for a while as a model, an experience that greatly helped her overcome her stage fright and fear of being in front of the camera. Her first major role was in the series "Hadrat Al-Mutaham Abi" (His Excellency, My Accused Father) opposite the renowned actor Nour El-Sherif. This was followed by roles in films such as "Rami Al-Etesami," "Shari' Al-Haram" (Pyramid Street), "Banat Al-Amm" (Cousins), "Hasal Khair" (All's Well That Ends Well), "Sa'a wa Nos" (An Hour and a Half), "30 February," "Ala Gothaty" (Over My Dead Body), and "Harag wa Marag" (Chaos and Mayhem). She also played many important roles in numerous television series, including "Al-Dali," "Afrah Iblis" (The Joys of the Devil), "Kayd Al-Nisa" (Women's Schemes), "Farah Al-Omda" (The Mayor's Joy), "Karioka," "Al-Zawga Al-Rabia'a" (The Fourth Wife), "Al-Zawga Al-Thaniya" (The Second Wife), and "Al-Walida Basha" (The Mother Pasha).
