Mary Black
Mary Black (born Mary Carter Walsh, 26 October 1935, Oshawa, Ontario) is a Canadian actress who left acting in 1970 to raise her children, then restarted her career in Vancouver in 1995. She has over 78 credits and has worked with directors including Zack Snyder, Neil LaBute, and Jason Reitman. Her film credits include Elf (2003), The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005), The Wicker Man (2006), Fido (2007), and Man of Steel (2013). On television she has appeared in Monk, Supernatural, Gracepoint (4 episodes), and A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017–2018). No major awards are on record.
