Through the videotapes from the past, Ella discovers that behind her mother's iconic figure hides a personal and painful story. For the first time, she is also exposed to the identity of her father - a mysterious figure around whom rumors have hovered throughout her life. It is a family portrait of two women who merge into one: the mother, a former legend, and the daughter, a filmmaker.
