Kuek Shee Heng
heeheng Kuek is a Malaysian film producer and the head of Aview Images, a Taiwan-based film company. He has been working extensively on Taiwan–Southeast Asia film productions and collaborations for many years, with a focus on international production and financing.
His recent works include Four Seasons in Java, the latest film by Indonesian director Kamila Andini, which has been selected as Indonesia’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 99th Academy Awards; Levitating, which he co-produced and invested in and which was selected for the Competition at the Sundance Film Festival; and the Malaysian thriller Kongtao, which became the highest-grossing Chinese-language horror film in Malaysian film history.
He also produced the wuxia sci-fi film The House on the Moon, which had its world premiere in the Main Competition at the Locarno Film Festival.
More recently, Sheeheng founded Chada Entertainment, a Thailand-based company focusing on international sales and distribution, with the aim of bringing more films from Southeast Asia to international audiences and supporting filmmakers and projects across the region.
